| UK dates to kick off upcoming European Tour | ||
| Chris Chameleon is scheduled to kick of his European tour with 3 performances in London. On 15 & 16 October, Chris will be performing an intimate solo show at the Aardvark Pub in Rotherhithe. Space is limited so be sure to book ASAP at www.satickets.co.uk. Then on 17 October, Chris is going to ROCK the Halfmoon in Putney with his UK BAND. Rumour has it he'll be sharing the stage with South African London-based band, DORP ... so definitely a show not to be missed. | Chris Chameleon is renowned for the phenomenal versatility of his endless creative endeavours. He moves with remarkable ease between Afrikaans and English, Contemporary, Rock and Classical. According to his fans Chris is ‘mesmerizing’ to watch. His impressive 4 octave voice work and intelligent stage personality has inspired many standing ovations at his shows. Chris Chameleon`s new production “Driekuns” is set to surprise his fans yet again. For the first time since his Boo! days, Chris is back on bass, accompanied by Jonathan Crossley on guitars, Riaan van Resnburg on percussion and Ampie Omo on keyboard, trumpet, trombone and percussion. Chris performs new compositions of his own hits, as well as some personal favourites, including a few Boo! classics. A special element to “Driekuns” is that it is the first time since the Boo! split, that Chris has teamed up with Ampie Omo on stage again. “Driekuns” opened at the Volksbladfees in Bloemfontein on 9 July: The 1000-seater Sand du Plessis Theatre was sold out for both of the two “Driekuns” shows. “Driekuns” will also be staged at the Cultivaria Festival in Paarl on 27 and 28 September and at Aardklop in Potchefstroom on 30 Sept and 1 October. visit website |

| Europe wrap-up | ||
| Chris Chameleon has just finished up his whirlwind 2 week tour of The Netherlands and Belgium playing to sold-out crowds in clubs, a full tent at the prestigious Fesival Mundial, 4 national radio slots and a television interview. He even had time to work in the studio with Dutch TV personality and singer, Leoni Jansen, on a duet version of his song "Ja Gese." Chris and his team are already looking forward to returning in October for several gigs in London, Germany, and then a 3 week long theater tour in the Netherlands. Those gigs will be added to the gig guide within the week so you can start booking your seats. Thanks to the fans for making the tour such a success and we look forward to seeing you in a few short months! |

Die DVD opname van Chris Chameleon se Klassieke Chameleon by die Aula Teater op 26 en 27 Januarie was `n groot sukses. Beide vertonings is deur `n gehoor van meer as `n duisend mense bygewoon en staande ovasies na albei vertonings het gespreek van groot lof vir `n produksie van uitstaande gehalte.

Chris het ook tot groot applous van sy gehore onvergeetlike weergawes van bekende liedjies soos “O Sole mio”, “Here comes the night”,“Sunrise Sunset” en die “Onse Vader” gelewer. Lize Beekman het as gaskunstenaar `n duet van Chris se liedjie “Ek vir jou” saam met hom gesing. Om alles af te rond het Chris se humoristiese sêgoed tussen die liedjies deur die gehoor gaande gehad.Chris het met `n span musikante opgetree wat hom op tjello, fluit, klavier, kitaar en met perkussie begelei het. Dié veelsydige verkleurmannetije het nuwe, klassieke verwerkings van sy eie liedjies >>More/less<< Klassieke Chameleon sal ook by KKNK, Oudshoorn aangebied word. Die DVD word in Maart 2008 bekendgestel. Klassieke Chameleon DVD sal Chris se derde DVD wees wat uitgereik word (ander: Volkleur en Flight of an Extraordinary Alien.) Een van die besonderse elemente van Chris se DVD uitreikings, is dat dit sy verstommende 4-oktaaf stemwerk uitbeeld. from 19 to 21 November: Chris will perform two solo shows and one show with a band.Chris Chameleon will be touring the Benelux with popular Dutch band SPINVIS from 19 October to 28 November. Chris has been to the Netherlands often in the past few years to perform at selected venues and festivals. His phenomenal solo performances have gained him many fans in Europe and at a recent festival in Folkwoods, Eindhoven, a Dutch publication wrote that “Chris Chameleon was the surprise of the festival.” There are also three shows scheduled in Londo >>More/less<< In August 2007 Chris signed a contract with Excelsior Recordings in the Netherlands for the distribution and marketing of his new Afrikaans album “EK VIR JOU”. The fact that Chris will have a physical presence on stages in the Benelux during the next 6 weeks, together with the infrastructure in place with regards to marketing and distribution, makes it certain that this upcoming tour has everything in place to maximise the potential for Chris`s success in Europe.
